Another method of getting more money down as the favorite
and less when the your a "dog" is leaving the
table when the count goes substantially negative. At those
times, your minimum bet would effectively be "zero".
This tactic applies primarily to shoe games since there,
positive and negative counts last predictably long.
An extension of this same principle is to approach a blackjack
game in progress and count down the first few hands from
the beginning of the shoe. This is known as "backcounting".
If the count climbs significantly into the "plus",
jump in and play a bit. If not, move on towards the next
table with the same game plan in mind.
As I indicated in the introduction of this book, my intent
is to assist you in analyzing some important facts about
the game that usually most folks don't pay attention to.
You have just analyzed one of the really big ones! Now then,
having this information enables you to modify and create
your own bet¬ting strategy that you can be comfortable
with. If the CLB method appeals to you, then make a model
that fits your play¬ing acumen.
There are more
samples of this strategy coming later in this chapter, and
they all have their place because sometimes you may want
to switch to different strategies in any one session, depending
on what the cards are doing, to again suit your betting
comfort levels. But the great thing is, the strategy works!
And what I said earlier about most of the action occurring
in the zone is validated. If you look at the outcomes, you'll
quickly see that SO% of the action stays between bets Wl
through W4 on the win side, and bets L1 through L4 on the
loss side. Modifying the bet levels to suit our needs is
totally up to you. F3y looking at Figure 9-C. soul can see
